I was born in Hungary – travelled around in Europe & USA – spent 1 year in Tunesia learning Arabic ( the language and music).
Since 1997 I have been staying in South Africa … as if I have come home …I have been living here since with my husband and my two beautiful kids. I love playing the violin and the guitar (and whatever I find to make noise with –
– like drums, didjeridoo, rainstick, kora etc.) A few years ago I have discovered the Internet and open source technology – I haven’t stopped learning since ( all the things I have learnt – I should actually be given a diploma by now).
I am the project coordinator of the OpenCafe and ArtMarketOnline projects. Very exciting tasks, the OpenCafe for me is an opportunity to create an open, international learning environment – open source style – where everyone is a student & teacher in the same time – always something to learn & teach here. ArtMarketOnline – is similar to the OpenCafe – but we are doing it with artists – writers, painters, musicians, bloggers and the great thing is – anyone can become the artist or the audience and change these roles regularly.

This is a wonderful blog. Like a real source of very interesting things, music I cant find somewhere else:) Thanks god you found my Budapest site because such way I found you.

Szavanna–wonderful to find your blog. I have been to Hungary twice I and just love it. Thinking of going back in October of this year. I spent some time with the Csikos out in the Puszta. I posted some pictures on my blog of them under the “Hungary” post. I love that you know Arabic—something I have wanted to learn for a long time. Excited to keep reading and learning from you.
